Mechanical flood
Mechanical seals mainly consist of a “rotating sealing surface” with a rotating mechanism that rotates at the same speed as the pump shaft, and a “fixed sealing surface” that is connected to the rotating sealing surface and using a gland. or in some pump models, a pressurized assembly (using a set of springs or a metal accordion) that seals the rotating surface to prevent contamination and leakage when the pump is not operating and when the pump shaft is rotating. Holds firmly against the fixed surface.
Static sealing gaskets, “O-rings” or elastomeric cylinders are strategically placed to complete the sealing assembly.
Oring
An O-ring is a ring or donut-shaped ring that is generally molded from elastomer, although O-rings are also made from PTFE and other thermoplastic materials, as well as hollow and solid metals.
O-rings are primarily used for sealing. Static sealing gaskets, “O-rings” or elastomeric cylinders are strategically placed to complete the sealing assembly.

Labyrinth Seals
The term “Labyrinth” conjures up images of intricate mazes and seals, which is not far from reality.
A labyrinth seal is a special type of dynamic mechanical seal that uses a maze-like cross-section to create areas to prevent contaminants from entering and fluids from exiting. They also reduce the distance that particles have to enter. Labyrinth Seals are typically used to separate a high-pressure area from a low-pressure area, but they work well in other applications as well.
